A self-guided online 2 hr training. This training will focus on behavior management. Topics include characteristics of emotional, behavior, and learning disorders including ADHD and Autism. Ways to manage classroom disturbance, and strategies to meet the needs of children with emotional, behavior, and/or learning disorders. Learner outcomes include demonstrating understanding of proactive vs. reactive behavior strategies, discussing the impact of emotional, behavior, and learning disorders on student performance and classroom dynamics, and applying strategies to de-escalate disruptive behaviors while maintaining a supportive learning environment. Learner assessments include participation, assignments/quizzes, group discussions, and/or real-world scenario prompts. Learners must score an 80% to earn .2 CEUs or 2 clock hours for the course.
